Clare Colhoun CEO
As 8over8's Chief Executive Officer, Clare Colhoun is responsible for setting the Company's overall strategic direction.
Clare has over 20 years of diverse business experience in capital project intensive markets and has driven profitable growth at 8over8 since December 2000. Before joining 8over8, Clare held Executive Positions in Business Development, Strategic Planning and Finance in various Global Blue Chip Businesses. These include Pacific Telesis (first roll-out of cable-television in U.K.), AirTouch (now Vodafone) implementing the first wireless GSM network in Belgium, and ICO-Teledesic (pioneers in global mobile satellite telecommunications). Clare has created successful joint ventures and secured new business in many parts of the globe including Russia, Kazakhstan, Japan, and North America. Clare holds an MBA from London Business School; is a Chartered Certified Accountant and earned a BA in Finance with Dublin City University.
Gerry McGurgan Commercial Director
Gerry McGurgan is Co-Founder and Commercial Director of 8over8.
Gerry has worked in the energy markets for the past 15 years. He was on the project board of the European Union’s DGXIII TAPPE project which looked at improving the contracting relationships between Europe’s Energy companies and contractors.
In 2000 he formed 8over8 and has focused on delivering contract management solutions to the oil and gas market. Since then 8over8 has successfully developed an international customer base of large capital projects which partners include ADCO, BP, Chevron, Shell, Oxy, Husky, BG Group and Nexen. Gerry holds an BSc Hons. in Computing Science.
Declan Gribbin CTO
As Chief Technology Officer and a co-founder of 8over8, Declan has extensive experience in the architecture and development of large scale web-based enterprise solutions.
Since 8over8’s formation he has worked closely with customers in the oil and gas market to ensure the architecture, development and delivery of the 8over8 product set has remained focused on meeting their key challenges. He continues to apply his technical leadership in setting the technical direction that drives product development and research at 8over8, while advising the management team on all aspects of technology-driven market changes and long term visions and strategies. Declan holds a B.A. Hons in Business Management and MSc in Computer Science.
Peter Tray (Non-Executive)
Peter is Managing Director of Richard Archie & Sons. He has over 30 years experience in international trading with consequent insights into both purchasing and sell side contracts. Peter has benefited from extensive business dealings throughout Europe, North America, Russia and Japan. Peter advises the company on its accounts in Russia and the FSU and has direct contacts with strategic funding organizations.
Mary Prunty (Non-Executive)
Mary is a software industry veteran. She founded her own software company back in the early 1990’s and has worked on strategic projects for international clients including News International, Capital Bank and Cornhill Insurance. In the past, Mary has worked closely with European Commission Directorates-General DGXIII and DGIII in software best practice. She continues to work as an independent technology and project management consultant and is programme manager of a number of European Commission funded technology projects. Mary has chaired the Northern Ireland Prince’s Business Trust, mentors a number of small business start-ups and is a member of the Software Industry Federation.
Advisory Board
Geoff Lill
Geoff is a seasoned project contract professional working in the oil and gas industry for over 35 years, in the Middle East, Far East, Africa and Europe. He has been responsible for all aspects of Contracting and Procurement (CP) in projects, from the development of project contract strategies through to the close out of claims, and his last role before retirement was setting the standard for best practice project CP processes in Shell International.
Geoff is now CEO of Byzantec Ltd, a consultancy he formed that is dedicated to improving the understanding and execution of project CP, through training, process reviews and consultancy support. To this end he is proud to be a member of 8over8’s advisory board, helping to shape the further development of an already good product that gives projects the support they need to manage their contracts effectively.
Martin Spring
Martin is Lecturer in Supply Chain Management at Manchester School of Managament, UMIST. He is Director of the MSc in Operations Management and co-editor of the International Journal of Operations and Production Management. Martin is a Chartered Engineer and has worked in engineering and manufacturing management positions in a number of international firms. Current research interests include E-procurement and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), product and service design and development, and various aspects of inter-organisational relationships. He has published in a wide range of management and design related journals.
