8over8 has created a Product Advisory Board to advise on Product development strategy.
Dr. Arvind Sahay
Arvind is Assistant Professor of Marketing and International Business at London Business School. Dr. Sahay brings his business experience to bear at 8over8, including his role as Purchase Manager DCM Ltd. and Account Manager at HSBC in India and advisor to Dell in the USA. Dr. Sahay’s consulting and executive education clients include PwC, British Council, Ericsson, HP, Pink Elephant, Matsushita and DERA. He has been a regular invitee as a speaker at conferences; recently, he served as a featured speaker at the e:biz Live, Europe BusinessWeek conference. He is the recipient of a grant from Lucent Technologies to conduct research in the mobile industry. His research interests span e-business, e-marketing and upstream and downstream technology management. Prior to joining London Business School Dr. Sahay completed his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Martin Spring
Martin is Lecturer in Supply Chain Management at Manchester School of Managament, UMIST. He is Director of the MSc in Operations Management and co-editor of the International Journal of Operations and Production Management. Martin is a Chartered Engineer and has worked in engineering and manufacturing management positions in a number of international firms. Current research interests include E-procurement and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), product and service design and development, and various aspects of inter-organisational relationships. He has published in a wide range of management and design related journals.
Shefaly Yogendra
Shefaly is a consultant and researcher in technology policy and strategy. Her expertise spans both the information technology and biotechnology sectors. Her clients include technology firms in IT and pharmaceutical industries, technology investors, policy and political bodies, and research and academic organisations. She has over 8 years of experience in strategic business creation and management in the IT Industry in Europe and Asia. With her experience in strategic planning, product marketing and business development in software and technology development, and with legal and commercial acumen, she brings a unique perspective to the 8over8 advisory board.
In addition to her consulting work, Shefaly is a doctoral scholar at the University of Cambridge. She holds an MPhil in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India and a BTech in Electronics Engineering from Lucknow University, India. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Commerce and Manufactures and a member of the British Association for the advancement of science. Her technology interests include enterprise technologies, wireless technologies, security and privacy, as well as plant and human genetics, in the context of food and public health. Her writings for a range of audiences, from academics to managers to the general public on matters of strategy and policy in these technology areas have appeared in ‘Science and Public Affairs’, ‘The Smart Manager’, several IT magazines and on investor websites.
Martin Vance
Martin is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and a member of the European Federation of National Engineering Associations. He has been extensively involved with worldwide projects in the onshore and offshore oil and gas and petrochemical sectors and has significant experience in all aspects of project execution and delivery, having held a number of senior project positions. Martin specialises in strategic project planning and implementation, assessment of project life cycle risks, forms of contract selection, preparation, negotiation, award and administration.
