Your role will be primarily focused on the analysis, design, development and QA of the next generation modules of the 8over8 ProCon product suite and the on-going improvement of the current product to meet the needs of our global customers. You will be encouraged to proactively participate in the evolution of the core architecture & technology framework of our product-set through the using new and emerging technologies. You will also use your commercial software development experience to offer improvements to internal processes, methodologies of our development lifecycle and in mentoring less experienced team members.
This role requires at least 2 years previous experience in a relevant software development environment

This role requires at least 2+ years experience of delivering successful web-based enterprise applications through the full product lifecycle.

Specific technical skill should include:

 • Fundamental programming and software development debugging and testing skills
 • Good knowledge and experience of building/maintaining robust enterprise level web applications
 • Experience in HTML, JavaScript & CSS
 • Knowledge of Server Side Technologies such as ASP, ASP.Net (or similar such as JSP, Servlets)
 • Familiarity with Object Oriented Design and Implementation should be capable of understanding and implementing all middle tier components, such as business services & rules, error handling, transaction handling and auditing.
 • Possess strong SQL programming skills and understand all of the principles of database programming and design.
 • Be capable of efficiently tracking down problems within code by making effective use of available debugging and tracing tools.

Non Technical
 • Proficient at producing high quality documentation for both technical and non technical audiences.
 • Experience in designing clean and functional Web Application user interfaces.
 • Experience of working within a team which adheres to well defined software development process.
 • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
 • Strong customer orientation.
 • Experience with AGILE development practices.

Responsibilities:-
 • Working as part of a team to develop robust and innovative functional modules that extend our product offering.
 • Creating design documents, work breakdowns and assisting in formulating project schedules.
 • Providing technical solution design recommendations for specific feature and customer requests.
 • Maintaining, tuning and improving existing functionality based on customer feedback to ensure continued product evolution and improvement.
 • Provide on-going technical support to the 8over8 implementation and support consultants.
 • Participate in execution and documentation of tests necessary to ensure that an application or technical environment meets performance requirements.
 • Ensure that your team lead is kept fully informed of progress and, in particular, of any problems that might jeopardize or change the project scope.
 • Knowledge sharing with other members of the team to ensure dissemination of knowledge and strengthening of team.

Additional experience:-
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent from a University.
