We wish to recruit a new technical team member to join our Quality Assurance team. Reporting to the Development Project Manager you will have responsibility for testing and verifying the 8over8 ProCon product.

This role requires 1-2 years previous experience in software testing and is a superb opportunity to join a fast growing company who can offer a technical and intellectual challenge in a relaxed working environment with a close-knit team. Working with strong tools and defined process towards both strategic and tactical objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for product testing to ensure performance, functionality, integrity and robustness of all released deliverables as well as having input to help define, implement and enhance testing, QA and release procedures. 

Candidates will be methodical and organised, will have sound testing experience with a good appreciation of testing processes and frameworks. Candidates will need to be hands-on and capable of prioritizing their own workload with an attention for detail and a keen eye for quality software.  Candidates will have a positive approach to problem solving and a strong focus on quality with the ability to follow formal procedures and guidelines.

Candidates need the ability to work and learn unaided and be able to form team relationships with others. The candidate should also be able to work under pressure to tight timescales when required and needs to maintain a flexible attitude towards the job.

Responsibilities:-

• Writing clear and concise test cases for execution by any team member.
• Running test cases to qualify and regression test our product(s).
• Work closely with development team in identifying describing and resolving bugs and defects.
• Clearly document in defined manner bugs, defects and requests within the company’s issue tracking system.
• Investigate and report bugs.
• Analysis of test failures, by reviewing test logs, modifying tests, designing and executing experiments and further tests.
• Assist in test report generation to present collated test evidence for use in formal release procedures.
• Writing clear and concise test cases for execution by any team member.

The following technical skills would be a great advantage:-

• Test Automation and scripting experience.
• Experience of Windows based operating systems (2000/XP/2003) and an understanding of Windows networking.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
